The Challenge

Complex Industry.
Simpler Software.

Construction management in India runs on WhatsApp, spreadsheets, and printed site reports. Our client wanted to change that — but every enterprise construction software they'd seen was too expensive, too complex, and built for markets that didn't understand how Indian construction sites actually work.

They came to us with a rough feature list, a validated problem, and no product yet. We needed to go from zero to a fully functional SaaS in 16 weeks.

Our Approach

0 to SaaS in
16 Weeks.

We spent the first two weeks embedded with the client — sitting in on site visits, watching project managers work, and interviewing contractors. Construction moves fast and decisions are made under pressure. The software needed to match that pace.

The Product Decisions

We reduced the initial feature set aggressively: project timeline, daily site report, material tracking, and team communication. Everything else was parked for v2. A focused product ships — a comprehensive one doesn't.

The UI prioritised quick data entry over comprehensive dashboards. Contractors on site needed to log a report in under two minutes, often on a dusty phone with variable signal. We designed for that reality.

The Build

Next.js 14 frontend with Supabase for the database and auth. Real-time updates via Supabase subscriptions — so a project manager in the office sees site updates the moment a contractor logs them. A headless CMS (Sanity) for the client's own blog and help docs.

"The UI our users actually love is the one that got us to 200 contractors without a single sales call." — The CTO

The Outcome

200 Contractors.
Zero Sales Calls.

The platform launched in September 2023. By December, 200 contractors had signed up — all through word of mouth and organic search. The product was sticky enough that contractors were recommending it to other contractors on the same sites.

The landing page conversion rate increased 65% after a redesign in month three, and the Lighthouse performance score held at 98 through all subsequent feature additions.
